Throughout a latest election cycle I heard a tv commentator say that the Republican nomination goes to come back right down to “who wants it more.”I sincerely hope that this isn’t the case.Republican or Democrat, I sincerely hope that we’re not going to decide on our leaders on the premise of who needs it extra. I imply, actually, would you make every other alternative that method?”Honey, where would you like to eat tonight?””Well, the Mexican place is always great. The Italian place is kind of grimy and the food’s not that good, but I think they want it more.””Italian it is, then!”Or:”Which one of these guys should we pick for the basketball team?”
“Well, the guy on the left is seven foot six, lightning fast, and can dunk the ball without leaving the ground. On the other hand, that little fellow next to him–the one who comes up to his waist–really, really wants it.””Welcome to the big leagues, little guy!”Sounds form of preposterous, does not it? That is as a result of in the actual world (which apparently excludes the world of politics) we reward efficiency, not needs.Sure, “wanting it” is essential. Need, ardour, drive–these are all part of “wanting it.” And so they’re an incredible start line. In reality, I might argue that it is best to at all times maintain your want, ardour, and drive alive. However they don’t seem to be sufficient. No one pays you 1,000,000 on your award-winning want. They may pay 1,000,000 for award-winning efficiency. We see it on a regular basis: in sports activities, in leisure, in enterprise. Award-winning performers get the rewards, whereas the non-performers want they, too, might afford the great life.If the world rewarded needs, there’d be much more nine-year-old ladies with ponies. And much more 40-year-old males with Ferraris. (Perhaps it isn’t a coincidence that the Ferrari brand is a horse.)
Award-winning efficiency is what occurs when want meets motion. After all there are different parts involved–skill, coaching, pure aptitude, perseverance, and a number of others–but on the core it comes right down to want and motion. “Wanting it more” by itself will not do it.Do not present me what you need. Present me what you have executed.Present me the outcomes you have achieved. Present me the concepts you have delivered to fruition. Present me the lives you have modified for the higher.Present me your award-winning efficiency. Then you definately’ll get my vote. And I am not simply speaking politics.
